A little rain. The crackle of a fire. A melody in the distance. Layer the sounds, adjust every detail and keep your composition.
88 nature sounds · 153 music tracks · Saved on your deviceWho makes these ambiences?
My name is Samuel Henry. I live in Finistère, Brittany, and I make these ambiences: real nature sounds, rain, fire, waterfalls, sea, woven with fairy music I create for each place. More than 37,000 people follow the YouTube channel.
Frequently asked questions.
Which fairy music should I listen to for sleep?
Start with a rain ambience with a soft harp, like The Treetop Cabin in Lumethys. If music keeps you awake, choose a video where it stops after 4 hours, or rain sounds alone. Which sound for sleep?
Are the ambiences free?
Yes. All 137 videos are free to watch on YouTube and here, with no account. The Studio works without an account; the Circle, a paid membership (€8.99 a month, cancel anytime, or €69 a year), opens all its shelters and funds the next ambiences.
Are there ads during the night?
No: mid-video ad breaks are turned off, so nothing wakes you up. YouTube may show an ad before the video starts, depending on your account.
How is this different from a plain rain video?
Each ambience is an imagined place, with its own story and realm. The sound is built in layers (rain, fire, music, details) and lasts 3 to 12 hours. In the Studio, you can adjust each sound yourself.
Is it a video game?
No. Sonaë is a world to explore: a map, legends, guardians. It pairs well with a tabletop RPG session, but nothing is played in 3D.
Where to begin?
Pick a realm on the map, or let the Guardian suggest a stop. You can also start a video from the catalogue.
Do I need an account?
No. Your journal and your mixes stay in this browser. Full videos play through YouTube, after your consent.
