6h 3minSleep music
Sleep music has one job: not to wake you up. Every Sam’Relaxe ambience runs three to twelve hours without a cut, without a sudden change of volume and without an ad in the middle of the night. The music stays low and wordless; rain, a fire or a river carries the hours, and the picture is there for the first ten minutes only.
Each video takes place in one of the ten realms of Sonaë: a bedroom under the snow in Crysolore, a treehouse in the ancient forest of Lumethys, a cottage facing the ocean of Azurel. The picture matters as much as the sound while you settle; once you close your eyes, only the soundtrack is left, and it was written for that.

Why these ambiences help you fall asleep
The brain lets go faster in a stable, predictable sound environment. Steady rain, a crackling fire or a river masks the small noises of the night, a door, a car, a neighbor, and gives the mind something even to rest on. The music underneath is slow, without a melody you could follow, so nothing asks for your attention.
How to use them
Start the video half an hour before bed, at a low volume, on a speaker or a phone placed away from the pillow. Avoid in-ear headphones for a whole night. If you use a TV, turn the screen off or let it go dark after a few minutes: the sound is what matters once you are lying down. Keep the same ambience every night, and it becomes a signal.
In practice
- Low volume: the sound should be barely audible from the pillow.
- Same ambience every night: repetition becomes a sleep cue.
- Screen off or turned to the wall: only the soundtrack counts once you are in bed.
- Prefer the calm realms: Lumethys, Crysolore, Sanctelis.

Frequently asked questions
What music is best for sleeping?
Slow, wordless music with no rhythm to follow, mixed with a continuous natural sound such as rain, a fire or waves. Melodies and lyrics keep part of the brain awake; a steady sound floor does the opposite. That is how every ambience here is written.
Should I leave the music on all night?
Yes, for most people. Waking to sudden silence is a common cause of 3 a.m. awakenings. Our videos run six to twelve hours for that reason. If someone in the bed prefers silence, use the sleep timer in the Sound Studio instead.
Are these videos free?
Yes. Every ambience plays free on YouTube and on this site, without an account. The Circle membership adds the full Sound Studio, where you compose your own night from the same sounds.
