6h 9minFocus music and study ambience
The best focus music is the one you forget. No lyrics, no chorus, no swell of intensity: it occupies the ear just enough to cover distractions and leaves the rest of the mind to the task. Our study ambiences were composed that way, in the libraries and workshops of Medianor and the quiet sanctuaries of Sanctelis.
They run four to eight hours: a day of study or writing without having to restart anything, and without a playlist deciding when your attention breaks.

Why a sound floor helps
Total silence makes every small noise stand out. A stable background at a moderate volume reduces those interruptions and makes the environment predictable. Rain, a library, a distant fire: the sound tells the brain that nothing is happening, so it can stay on the page.
A simple method
Choose one ambience, set the volume just above the threshold of hearing, and keep it for the whole session. Changing ambience at every break undoes the effect. Pair it with a timer if you like: forty-five minutes in, ten minutes out, same sound throughout.
In practice
- One ambience per session, volume low.
- Rain or a library for deep work.
- A daytime forest for creative tasks.

Frequently asked questions
Does music really help you focus?
Wordless, steady music at a low volume does, for most people, because it masks distractions without becoming one. Songs, podcasts and anything with lyrics do the opposite. Our guide on reading music explains what the research says.
How long should I choose?
Longer than your session. A four-hour ambience covers a morning; an eight-hour one covers the day. The point is never to hear it end.
Are there library ambiences?
Yes, they are the most played on this page: medieval libraries, a study under the rain, a tree library. Try one with the screen on for the first minutes.
